The MIA PTO is thrilled to share that our students can take part in the 2026 Math Kangaroo International Competition — a fun way to stretch those math muscles and show off their smarts! ✨ MIA will host the competition ONLINE.

What is Math Kangaroo?

The Math Kangaroo competition is an annual international assessment designed to evaluate students’ mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

 Who Can Register?

MIA Students in grades K-12*.
* Kindergarten students take grade 1 test; MUST know how to read and work independently 

Registration Fees:

o   Regular registration: $18 (September 15 – December 31, 2025)

o   Late registration: $35 (January 1 – February 1, 2026)

o   Note: No cancellations or refunds are offered after registration.

Financial Assistance:
Families facing financial hardship can apply for support by contacting the Math Kangaroo Office at info@mathkangaroo.org with appropriate documentation.

Competition Day Details

o   Date / Time: Mar 19, 2026 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM ET

o   Location: ONLINE from home

o   Cost: $18.00/Person

o   Availability: Registration ends on February 01, 2026 (20 seats available)

o   Gifts & Ribbons: All registered students will receive mathematical gifts, and participation ribbons. The top 10 in the country and the top 3 in the state will receive medals, ribbons, and awards distributed by the center manager in May. The top 20 students will receive a special invitation to participate in an educational webinar. All registered students must be able to pick up items from the center in person. The center manager is not obligated to send the gifts to students' homes.

At our center the competition indicates the center status: Invitation Only, Online.

The steps to register:

1. Go to: MATH KANGAROO REGISTRATION PAGE 

2. Log in with your login and password or establish your user account if you are new.

3. Click on the tab By Invitation.

4. Copy and paste the code shared in your PTO Newsletter.

5. Do not share the code with anyone

Important: After you receive the registration confirmation email from Math Kangaroo, review the email to make sure all information is accurate. If something needs correction, update the registration or email info@mathkangaroo.org
