The SEA Teacher Program is a student exchange program for prospective teachers in the Southeast Asian region organized by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO). This program provides education students with the opportunity to conduct teaching practicums in schools abroad, particularly in Southeast Asian countries such as the Philippines, Thailand, or Vietnam. Through this activity, students can gain direct teaching experience in an international environment, improve their pedagogical and English communication skills, and broaden their cultural and educational system insights in other countries. The SEA Teacher Program also aims to strengthen educational cooperation among countries in the Southeast Asian region.
Through this blog, I invite you to join my international internship journey in Northern Philippines at University of Northern Philippines. This experience was not only about teaching, but also about learning new cultures, building cross-cultural communication, and understanding education through diversity.
Here, I share reflections, cultural experiences, and valuable lessons from living and teaching far from home. I hope this blog can inspire pre-service teachers, students, and anyone interested in cross-cultural education.
Welcome, and thank you for being part of my journey. 😊
