What is a Mindful Morning?

A mindful morning is about finding a quiet moment of peace through the practice of mindfulness. It is a time to center yourself and clear your mind by focusing on one thing at a time. By practicing mindfulness first thing in the morning, you are setting yourself up for a calmer and more reflective mindset.

How Mindfulness Has Helped Me

By fundamentally shifting the way we relate to our thoughts and feelings, we can dial down the intensity of emotions that tend to take hold of us, and ultimately experience a greater sense of clarity and focus in our lives. - Headspace

I enjoy mindfulness and yoga regularly and when I am feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. These practices have helped me better recognize my emotions and understand why I am feeling a certain way so I can address them reflectively rather than reactively. Mindfulness is about focusing on one thing at a time and not ruminating about topics that may cause stress. It is not just an isolated practice but rather applies to any activity we are doing.
