Career and Technical Education

Morris Hills Regional District

The Morris Hills Regional District proudly hosts a comprehensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department inclusive of Business Education, Family and Consumer Science, and Technology & Engineering Education.

Our course programming focuses on preparing students for life beyond high school.  Students who enroll in our courses are prepared to enter the workforce, a trade school, or 4-year post-secondary institution.   No matter what course a student signs up for in  CTE, they will undoubtedly find long-term life and career benefits.

Our hands-on, project oriented courses offer students many opportunities to further themselves.  Students have the opportunity to earn college credits through various articulation agreements.

Our Structured Learning Experience/ Work Based Learning Program allows students to take part in on-the-job training in a career specific area prior to graduation.

Students can earn various credentials to boost their resume, including: ADDA Apprentice Drafter, NOCTI Precision Machining, NOCTI Welding, Microsoft Office Specialist Certification, ServSafe Food Handler, Safe Sitter, and  Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

Students also compete in numerous career and technical skills organizations, including: Skills USA, TSA, FCCLA, DECA, and FBLA.

Our department offers two CTE specific honor societies in the area of Business and Technology.
