The Morris Hills Regional District proudly hosts a comprehensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department inclusive of Business Education, Family and Consumer Science, and Technology & Engineering Education.
Our course programming focuses on preparing students for life beyond high school. Students who enroll in our courses are prepared to enter the workforce, a trade school, or 4-year post-secondary institution. No matter what course a student signs up for in CTE, they will undoubtedly find long-term life and career benefits.
Our hands-on, project oriented courses offer students many opportunities to further themselves. Students have the opportunity to earn college credits through various articulation agreements.
Our Structured Learning Experience/ Work Based Learning Program allows students to take part in on-the-job training in a career specific area prior to graduation.
Students can earn various credentials to boost their resume, including: ADDA Apprentice Drafter, Microsoft Office Specialist Certification, ServSafe, and Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).
Students also compete in numerous career and technical skills organizations, including: Skills USA, TSA, FCCLA, DECA, and FBLA.
Our department offers two CTE specific honor societies in the area of Business and Technology.
