We want to spread the word as much as possible to invite everybody to join the MHHS marching band for Homecoming 2024-2025! Please forward this information, post places, etc. so we can catch everybody!

Pregame
For the first time ever, HS choir members and alumni are leading a sing-along of our very own Alma Mater immediately before the pregame. You'll find the link to lyrics and melody/harmony here.
The HS band and alumni will do a short pregame rehearsal through all our tunes at 5:45. If you'd like to run through Alma Mater there will be a short rehearsal for that at 6:00 p.m. We'll then do the traditional pregame parade to the field, perform our pregame music, the National Anthem, etc.
Halftime
At halftime, we invite any alumni still performing in college to join us on the track to be recognized. If you'd like to join us for this, please email Mr. Dorner so he can include you in the announcer's script.
Instrument?
Do you need an instrument? If so, please email Mr. Dorner so we can get you something. We're very short in a couple areas, so let us know soon.
need to order something?
Woodwind Lyres
Woodwinds will need to order marching lyres and/or flip folders for marching band. Please see the links below to order; the links take you to the Ward-Brodt website, and they will deliver these items every Wednesday.
Flute
You need to order a Flutist's Friend (hint: they're not friendly) which has both lyre AND flip folder attached.
Clarinet
You need to get a clarinet lyre. The school will provide a flip folder to hold your music.
Saxophone
All saxophones need to get a lyre, but make sure to get the right one for your instrument! You'll need to know the brand of your saxophone. Then, get the correct lyre (Yamaha vs. non-Yamaha). The school will provide a flip folder to hold your music.
Earplugs
Prolonged exposure to sound over 70 dB may start to damage your hearing. Loud noise above 120dB can cause
immediate harm to your ears. We frequently work in the 100-125 db range.
To protect your hearing, you can get some relatively inexpensive ear plugs here.
