Thomas Jefferson was the primary draftsman for the U.S Declaration of independence. He was the third president of the U.S. And a founder of University of Virginia. He was first Secretary of state and vice president under John Adams. He served in the Virginia legislature and the Continental Congress and governor of Virginia. Jefferson worked as a lawyer in 1767. He was really well known for his reserved manner. He had the first inauguration held in Washington D.C. One of the most amazing achievement was the purchase of the Louisiana territory for 15 million in 1803.
Thomas Jefferson served as a governor for Virginia. He was always informed of the proceedings to draft a new national constitution and later helped with the bill of rights.
Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence, was born on April 13, 1743 in Shadwell (Present-day Charlottesville, Virginia).
