From the age of 7 - 15 he was homeschooled.
For the longest time, he had an interest in opening iron mines.
Martha was the first, first lady. She started the tradition of the first lady having a cause. Her cause was to help needy veterans. During time of war she would travel with the army and stay with her husband even during Valley Forge! She was his housekeeper on the move.
Washington was a very influential man. He was a big part in shaping the government we have now. He kept it from being a monarchy or dictatorship. He had been a huge part of shaping our government. By resigning he also showed other presidents and leaders that it isn't a bad thing to resign but a good thing.
