James Madison was born to James Madison Sr. and Nellie Conway Madison. Madison was the oldest of 12 siblings at age 18 Madison went to the College of New Jersey (now known as Princeton University.) After college Madison was named Colonel of the Virginia Militia during the American Revolution.
Madison's militia was sick and weak so Madison abandoned them and went into politician affairs. Madison co-founded the Democratic-Republican party. Madison served on the governor's council. Signed the Declaration of Independence. Madison helped the shaping of America. Madison was the 4th U.S. president serving 2 terms. Madison helped America win the war of 1812 against Britain.
James Madison was born on March 16, 1751 on Mount Pleasant in Orange County, Virginia. James Madison lived until he died on June 28, 1836 at the age of 85 years old. Dolley Madison lived for another 13 years (81 years old) after James Madison (born May 20, 1768/died July 12, 1849).
