With the open tab command, you can share tabs with individual student, groups, or the whole class.
For a single student:

- Go to the timeline view.
- Hover over the student's name in the timeline view. Three dots appear.
- Click Open tab and enter the URL.
- Click open tab. The URL you sent will open right away on the student's chromebook.
For Multiple Students:

- Go to the timeline view.
- Click on the boxes in front of students names or the ALL box for whole class.
You can also do URL push out through the screen view.
- Click box in left corner of each student tile. Then click open tab, type URL, and send out.
Close Tab

With this command, you can draw a student's attention back to an assignment or force them to close an inappropriate site.
You can only close tabs for one student at a time.

- Select the student's tile in screen view.
- Find the tab in the list you want to close. Click the X and it will close the tab immediately. You can view apps and extensions but CANNOT close them on the screen.
This is what your student will see when you
close a tab.
Lock and Unlock Screen

Lock Mode or Attention Mode i activated using the lock screen command. It prevents students from opening or closing tabs and disables browsing modes. You can send lock commands to 1 or multiple students, from timeline or screen view.

- Click box in top left hand corner of individual student tile, multiple tiles, or the all box.
- You can choose to enter a message to send with the lock or not.
- Unlock computers the same way.
- You can also quickly lock by pushing the lock button in the right corner of the tile.

- Same as when you used open tab.
- Hover over the student's name and click the three dots. Choose lock screen or unlock screen.
