Beginning of Class Routine
Once you enter into Zoom, you will have 1 minute to get yourself settled and ready for class (make sure your camera is turned on!) - you are expected to be present and engaged just like when we are in school together.
You will then have 5 minutes to work independently on the warm up for the day while on mute.
Our share outs about our warm up will be whole class and we'll share out what we wrote and revise to make them better!
Restroom Use
Just like in school, attendance is being taken - please send a message (to just me in) the chat to ask permission to use the restroom.
Homework
Homework assignments are given almost every class. These assignments are designed to be worked on during our 2.5 hour class block if time is used well. Homework assignments will be checked or "collected" each time they are assigned and must be turned in by the date that they are due (that information will be in GC).
Assessments
All assignments will be graded and will lose points for each day that they are late, so be sure to use your planner. If you miss a draft deadline for a writing project, you will not receive feedback for the final draft. If at any point you struggle to meet deadlines, ask Mr. Masco or Ms. Demalderis for help creating a work calendar if you struggle to meet deadlines.
Absences
If you are absent, you should email your teachers to find out what you missed. If you are unable to do that, you are responsible for checking in with the teachers about the work you missed. Do not do this during class; email before or after class, or drop into virtual office hours
Jumprope
Jumprope is where all your grades for assignments will live. I will do my best to update it at least once every 2 weeks with any graded work that was submitted.
