HOW TO REQUEST TRANSCRIPTS
There are two ways you can request transcripts in Naviance and directions for both are below.
The first option would be if you know the schools you are applying to and want to request transcripts now so that part of the process is complete:
- Go to your "colleges I am interested in" page
- check the box next to the colleges you are interested in applying to, then click on the "move to application" button
- each school will be listed in their own box, select the "application deadline" and indicate "how you will submit your application" for each school
- click on the "add applications and request transcripts" button and you will have completed the request
- Follow up with your counselor to let he or she know you have requested your transcript
- THIS PROCESS MUST BE COMPLETED IN ORDER FOR YOUR COUNSELOR TO BE ABLE TO SUBMIT YOUR TRANSCRIPT TO THE SCHOOLS YOU'RE APPLYING TO. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SUBMIT YOUR TRANSCRIPT REQUEST AT LEAST 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST APPLICATION DEADLINE.
The second option would be if you know the schools you are going to apply to but aren't ready yet to request the transcripts:
- go to your "colleges I am interested in" page
- check the box next to the colleges you are going to apply to, then click on the "move to application list" button
- each school will be listed in their own box, select the "application deadline" and indicate "how you will submit your application" for each school
- click on the "add applications" button
Your colleges are now listed on your "colleges I am applying to" page, but you have not requested the transcript.
- when you are ready, return to the "colleges I am applying to" page
- check the boxes for the colleges you are applying to and click on the "request transcripts" button above the list
- each school will be listed and you will need to click the box for "initial transcript"
- click on the "request and finish" button and your transcripts have now been requested
