Letters of Recommendation 

REQUESTING LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION FROM YOUR TEACHERS and COUNSELOR:

1. Ask one or two (the number you require depends on the schools you are applying to) teachers in person if they are willing to write positive letters of recommendation for you. 

2. Once they agree, complete the teacher recommendation request form 

3. Send an official request through Naviance. You must officially request the recommendation electronically through Naviance.

•  under the “colleges” tab, click on “letters of recommendation.” Be sure to provide teachers with a reasonable deadline.

4. FOLLOW UP WITH A THANK YOU NOTE!

• Make sure to thank your teachers for taking the time to write you a letter! A handwritten thank you note is best. 

5. If you need a written evaluation/counselor letter of recommendation, please let your counselor know as soon as possible.  

Counselor Recommendations

We ask all members of the class of 2024 to fill out this Brag Sheet so your counselor will be able to complete your letter of recommendation and possibly be able to nominate or recommend you for scholarships that may come into our office!
