Foley is the art of taking objects and making them fit into a video, show, or movie after the video and music production is finished. Using the correct sounds to fit your outcome and timing are essential. You are going to add sound effects from MixCraft to a video to produce your own Foley sound production product.

Saving the Video for Foley
Expand the video by selecting the "Pop out" on the top right of the video above.
On the next screen, select the "download" feature located towards the top right of the screen (looks like an arrow pointing down to a line).
Save it to your Piano Folder
Mixcraft Setup
Open the “START” menu (4 squares at the bottom left of your screen) and then “ALL APPS”, then select “MIXCRAFT 7”
On the pop up window...Change the "Audio Tracks" to 8, the "Instrument Tracks" to 1, "Snap Settings" to SNAP OFF, make sure the "Video Track" box place a check mark, and the "Mode" to Time, and the "Performance Panel" is NOT checked off then hit ok.
Once Mixcraft opens...
At the top of the page select "FILE", then select "Preferences". When the screen appears, change your "sound Device" Driver from "WAVE" to "ASIO". Then click "OK"

At the top of the page, select "VIDEO", select "Add a Video File"

Adding effects to the video
You need to have at least 25 different sound effects during the video. Choose the sound effect and add it to a new track (one for each sound effect you use). Click on "SHOW VIDEO WINDOW" to see the clip as goes along.
At the bottom left, select the "LIBRARY” tab

You may also check the sound effects found on the piano by clicking on the piano icon on the virtual instrument track and looking for the SOUND EFFECTS category.
FINISH YOUR FOLEY BY "MIX DOWN TO" METHOD.
At the top of the page, select "FILE", select "MIX DOWN TO", select "WMV"
Save this to your piano folder.
