2 Constellation Directions Use PowerPoint

(not Google Slides)

Constellations (you may choose any one of the 88 constellation you want,)

POWERPOINT REQUIREMENT

Pages / Slides (at least 5 slides total)

1)Cover Page:  Name of your Constellation, Your Name, Your Period

2)Scientific Page:  Show a picture of the actually constellation if we were to look up from earth at the nighttime sky.  Place at least 3-5 interesting facts on the page but don’t cover the picture.  

3)Mythological Page:   Show a picture of the mythology of the constellation.  Give 3-5 interesting items about the story of the mythology of the constellation onto the page.  This is the story you will be basing your music that you create on so be as detailed as possible.

4)Music Piece Playing Page:  On this page, you will insert your music (that you have made using MIXCRAFT 7) .  You may have a picture of the constellation or the mythology while the music you made is playing.

5)Acknowledgement Page This is a list of the web sites you used to get your pictures, your scientific information

Images/ Pictures     (DO NOT COPY AND PASTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

You may use Google.  Open Google and click on “Images” (found at the top right of the screen).

In the search box, type in a specific kind of picture you are looking for.  Click on “Search Images”.  The more specific your description, the better the images will appear for your topic.

Select a picture, click on the image and the screen will change and show a pop up pic.

After the image appears, “Right Click” on the image and select “Save Picture As"

Select  “MY PC, AC150, 7th Grade, etc...” and follow the same steps you have been using to save your work in this class.

Give your picture a name and add .jpeg to the end of the name

How to Insert pictures into PowerPoint  

You must insert your pictures (DO NOT COPY AND PASTE) in to PowerPoint by clicking on “Insert” (found at the top of the page), then “Pictures”, “From File

o   When the pop up window appears, select “MY PC, AC150, 7th Grade etc...  to get to your "Piano folder"  then choose the image you want to insert

MUSIC

You will be making your music using "MIXCRAFT 7"

Audio Tracks = 2,  Instrument Tracks = 2,  Mode = "Time"

You may sort the LIBRARY by either "SONG KIT" or "STYLE"

Your music must be at least 2 minutes long

You must use at least 4 different tracks

At least 2 of the 4 tracks must be virtual instrument tracks and recorded with the piano keyboard

When you are finished with your music you must turn it into an MP3 file

How to Insert Music into PowerPoint  

You must insert your music in to PowerPoint by clicking on “Insert” (found at the top of the page), then “Audio”, “Audio on my PC

o   When the pop up window appears, select “My PC, AC150, 7th Grade etc...  to get to your "Piano folder"  then choose your MP3 music to be inserted

Adding animations (if you want)

Click on “New Slide”  to add slides

Click on “Design” to choose a standard background and font setting for all or individual pieces.

Add text and titles to each page

You may choose animation for how your text appears.

o   Under “Format”, click on “Slide Design”.  Once the window appears on the right side, click on “Animation Schemes” (near the top) to choose animation for your words.
