Mrs. Lanza

Hello! My name is Mrs. Lanza and I have been teaching at Lafayette Mills Elementary School for 19 years. I have taught fifth grade, fourth grade, second grade, and third grade. I've been teaching third grade for the past 12 years. I attended Monmouth University and received my Bachelor's Degree in Education and my Master's Degree in Elementary Teaching. 

Here's a fun fact: Lafayette Mills was my elementary school when I was 10 years old.  I was a student at LM during the years of 1990/1991, when I moved to Manalapan. I was also a part of the first class that attended MEMS ( it was brand new!) and I was a student for 4 years at Manalapan High School. 

One of the biggest sports that I love is SOCCER! Soccer has been a huge part of my life since I was 5 years old. I played in the Manalapan Travel soccer system, I played soccer both years at MEMS, and I also played varsity soccer at Manalapan High School all four years. My biggest accomplishments came in college, where I was a Two- Time All American Women's Soccer player for Brookdale College. I scored 53 goals in two years, was the nation's third leading goal scorer, and I was inducted into the BCC Hall of Fame in 2015. If you visit the BCC Arena, you will see my Hall of Fame plaque hanging on the wall :)

I also have an active home life. My husband and I live in Freehold, and we have a beautiful 9 year old daughter, Adriana, who will be entering  fourth grade this year. She loves soccer, basketball, and swimming so we are always busy on the weekends!  I love to spend time with my parents and my brother's family, we are all very close.  Running and lifting weights are my FAVORITE activities and a big part of my life.  I LOVE to run, and I try to run and strength train five days a week. I LOVE to compete in races throughout the year. I have been in several races and received medals for them!
