The Manalapan-Englishtown School District accommodates a standards based report card for Grade 3, which is aligned to New Jersey Student Learning Standards.
Standards are specific learning outcomes students must meet at certain grade levels. These report cards will measure a student’s academic growth in relation to the grade level standards based on a 5 point scoring guide, 1-5. The parent handbook will explain in detail each indicator on the scoring guide.
In class, students will be graded on a point-grading system and receive ratios on their assessments/assignments (For example: 9/10 nine correct out of the ten questions, etc.) but their “grade” on their report card will consist of 1’s through 5’s, depending on the standard.
Report cards will be issued only three times a year (December, March, and June).
