Artist Statement:

Throughout my Fine Art 4 portfolio, I was able to express food-driven body insecurities and psychological troubles through food. In the beginning of this self-expression, I had often put myself in place of the object I had made the self-comparison to. As I further coped with my insecurities and troubles, I slowly was able to distance and separate myself from this form of coping. I had found out that objectifying the things that had troubled me just distanced myself from it and avoided confrontation. Although I often do not find myself making the negative comparison, I still reflect back to the times I did make the comparison; I am now able to see my insecurities as something pleasant and beautiful due to my comparison to nature.
