There is/there are

1. There is a dog in the garden. There is a mouse in the cage. There is some money on that table.

We use "there is" with nouns in the singular and with uncountable nouns - שמות עצם בלתי ספירים.

2. There are some dogs in the garden. There are two mice in the cage.

We use "there are" with nouns in the plural.
