The Options program will host the first-ever Cadet Orientation catered to youth participating in NYPD youth programs. (Explorers, Blue Chips, Options program, Girls Talk, YLC & Etc.) For the first time, the Cadet Corps has changed their requirements to you ONLY have to be REGISTERED in a two-year or four-year intuition to be enrolled in the Cadet program. We will have the CAD investigators there to answer any questions our youth may have about the process and Cadet Corp. Even If the youth is unsure if they want to be a Police Officer with NYPD, bring them out to hear valuable information. Remember, they can take it as a paid internship without committing to the department after graduation.
I encourage the youth to take advantage of this opportunity while they still can.
