ANNUAL FUND
MECA is an innovative Early College and Career (ECC) High School that offers an integrated sequence of high school classes, Associate degree courses at the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC), and work-based learning experiences through our partners in the Advertising and Media Industry Since 2014, MECA has challenged its students to engage in a project-based curriculum that blends art, technology, and creative problem solving.
Each year to ensure that our school has financial sustainability and to ensure support for the future, we rely on the generous support of MECA Parents like you. Contributions to our MECA Annual Fund help make this possible.

Online Donations: Save paper and make your donation online. We have one time and recurring contribution options. Save your automatically generated receipt; all donations are tex deductible.

EMPLOYER MATCHING GIFTS
Did you know that your company may provide matching donations made to our school by employees and retirees? Did you know that if you volunteer with our PTA that your employer might offer a volunteer grant to MECA as a way to recognize your ongoing support?
The value of your individual monetary gift to MECA can be doubled- even tripled- through corporate matching gifts. And, the value of your time to our school can also be recognized.
To participate with your company, you must initiate the request by inquiring with your employer directly, normally through your Human Resources or Community Giving departments. If such a program exists, obtain the proper forms and forward them with your contribution.

In addition to your generous monetary contributions, we welcome your time! There so many ways for you to lend your support whether volunteering for the PTA Executive Board or SLT, attending our monthly PTA meetings, participating in our community building events and meet-ups, volunteering is a great way to get to know other parents, faculty, and our school. In high school, our children are at a critical time in their lives. As they plan for the future. they are in need our our support more than ever. Stay connected to this portion of their journey by staying involved.

Serve On Our Executive Board
Our Board Members serve our PTA for a time commitment of one year and are decided upon through an election. Executive Board meetings are held once per month one week prior to our monthly PTA meetings.
Join Our Student Leadership Team (SLT)
he School Leadership Team (SLT) is a collaborative group of parents, teachers, staff with our Principal that represent all of the various constituencies of the school. SLT is mandated by State Law and meets monthly to discuss issues that affect our MECA community such as instructional matters, communications issues, how well our community is functioning, and other school-wide questions.
