Stay Informed

Communication is key to ensure your child's success this year.  Let's face it, teenagers are not always a fan of talking to adults.  While it is important to foster your adolescent's independence, sometimes teachers and families need to collaborate.  There are a variety of ways you can remain informed on what your child is learning.

Email

Feel free to email me at any time at bauerk@mdusd.org. Emails will typically receive a response in 48.  Any email received after school hours can expect a response 48 after 8:00 AM the following school day.

NOTE: I do not see notes left for me in Google Classroom.  Email is the best way for your child to ask questions about any assignments.

Google Classroom

Join our Google Classroom account to see current assignments, due dates, and expectations.  Students often tell parents they have no work - Google Classroom can solve that conundrum in a matter of seconds!

NOTE: Students can mark an assignment as completed even if it is not!  If an assignment has been completed your child should either be able to show you a paper copy of their work or the document in Google Drive.

Homelink

Grades are frequently updated on Homelink.  I am pretty good at entering grade regularly so students are aware of their progress.  Projects take a bit longer to grade, so please be patient.  Also be aware that sometimes mistakes are make when entering grades.  Before becoming alarmed, please encourage your child to talk to me about the discrepancy.  If you are still unsatisfied, please contact me directly to discuss the issue.
