Saturday Night

7:00 - 7:15

Building event. Bring your own tools. We will be building a QRPGuys Code Trainer. Kits will be available for a special price of $15 at the event. But, we want you to build it at the event Saturday night. When you complete your kit, we will give you the ATtiny 13A programmed chip to test your kit. If you don't build your kit, chips will be available at an additional charge from QRPGuys. The purpose of holding back the chip is to encourage people to build at the event.

Build and Bring Contest

We will be building a 40 meter receiver, the Sputnik 40 and a matching 40 meter crystal controlled transmitter, the MMM3+ .. John Sutter has laid out a circuit board for the receiver and we will use the retired QRPGuys MMM3+ board. To get details on how to order kits for the Bring and Build contest, please go to CalQRP@groups.io. We want builders to bring their 40 meter station to show and tell on Saturday night. We will be measuring the power out of your transmitter on a QRPguys digital power meter. Prizes will be awarded for most power out (note, we will attach a low pass filter before measuring). and the best looking station (a beauty contest if you will). Prizes will be QRPGuys Power meter kits provided by QRPGuys.

Also we will have some clandestine radios for display on Saturday night.

And finally, everyone is encouraged to bring their show and tell items. See you at Pacificon 2021

We are looking forward to seeing you there. If you have questions, please contact the Pacificon QRP Chairman, Doug Hendricks.
