Summer RISE provides students with a career-based opportunity to engage in hands-on learning related to their field of interest.
Summer RISE is a five week/50-hour summer program for rising MCPS juniors and senior that are in-person, virtual or a combination of the two experiences. Students must be available every weekday from June 22 to July 24, 2026.

Conduct Research this Summer!
Two opportunities to develop skills in emerging tech fields including data science, quantum computing & cybersecurity and apply those skills to real research mentored by industry professionals. Programs are free + provide a stipend for the first 150 accepted students. No prior experience required.

University of Maryland- Snider Enterprising Leader (SELF) Summer 2026 Program
a 3-credit General Education college course designed for motivated high school students interested in leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
Program Overview
• When: Summer 2026, July 12-31
• Credits: 3 General Education college credits
• Who: Rising Juniors and Seniors
• Format: Collaborative projects and guided instruction from UMD mentors and entrepreneurs
• Extras: Residential experience and scholarship options available

The Simons Summer Research Program
This program gives academically talented, motivated high school students the opportunity to engage in hands-on research in science, math or engineering at Stony Brook University. Simons Fellows work with distinguished faculty mentors, learn laboratory techniques and tools, become part of active research teams, and experience life at a research university.
