Who is eligible?
Must receive parent/counselor/Principal approval
Must have unweighted GPA seniors- 2.5 all others- 2.75
Must meet minimum scores on SAT/ACT or take Accuplacer assessment
Grades 9-12
Must apply to Montgomery College and be fully accepted
Application Process for Montgomery College
1. Student completes Montgomery college application
2. Meet with your counselor for an initial eligibility meeting.
3. Meet with DEPA
a. Review course selection and schedule.
b. Discuss program details and requirements (transportation, scheduling, school calendars, etc.).
c. Complete the MCPS Dual Refusal form
d. complete the DualEnroll.com steps detailed on the MC Dual Enrollment.
4. DualEnroll.com will automate the approval process for each course in which a student wishes to enroll and transcript submission to MC.
5. Schedules any required assessment testing with DEPA and MC Dual Enroll
6. Each student MUST participate in online advising known as an E-Map or I-Map session
7. Montgomery College will contact the student by email regarding course registration, appeals results, textbook pick-up, etc.

December 11–17: Final exam week
December 17: Official end of fall semester
Winter 2024
December 18: Winter session classes begin
January 19: Winter session classes end
Spring 2024
October 30: Spring registration opens
December 18: Official beginning of spring semester
January 22: Spring semester classes begin
January 27–28: Spring semester weekend classes begin
February 5: 13-week classes begin
March 25: 7-week classes begin
May 6–12: Final exam week
