Volunteers

Volunteers are welcome at the Drew ES media center! The media center is a busy place and help is always appreciated. Per MCPS policy, you must complete the following requirements before you are able to volunteer in the media center:

All volunteers must complete the Parent/Guardian and Community Volunteer form to provide an introduction of yourself and your interests and availability for volunteering. The form also provides some important reminders about volunteering in schools.

Complete the online Recognizing Child Abuse and Neglect training. This training is mandatory for any volunteer in an MCPS school. It is available in multiple languages. Once the training has been completed, a report will be created to show proof of completing the training requirement. Directions for accessing the training can be found here.

Volunteers must also complete the COVID-19 Vaccination Attestation as part of their training.

Bring the completed form and proof of completed training to the school.
