• Does the material support state and district
content standards?

• Will the material appeal to student interests?

• Has the material been recommended by one or
more reputable professional selection tools or
sources?

• Is the material’s content clear, concise, and
comprehensible?

• Does the material contribute to ensuring the
collection will have representation of diverse
cultures, experiences, interests, and points of
view?

• Is the material’s content accessible for diverse
learners?
