Ryan Yebba Memorial Mental Health Scholarship

Eligibility: Any high school junior or senior who is interested in going into a mental health field may apply for this scholarship if they’re devoted to creating a positive social change and progress in our schools.

Beta Phi Boulé – 2023 High School Scholarship

The Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Beta Phi Boulé is  awarding a private $1000.00 college scholarship for up to three qualifying African American male seniors attending a school located in Roanoke, Lynchburg, or the New River Valley area. 

There are no specific GPA or income requirements. All completed applications will be considered and reviewed.

Roanoke Valley Tennis Association Scholarships

The Roanoke Valley Tennis Association has announced the 2023 Betty Barr and Fred Rawlings Memorial Scholarship applications.

Like Ms. Barr and Mr. Rawlings, the RVTA supports community tennis for all ages and at all levels. In so doing, it is our honor to award two girls scholarships (one for $1000 and one for $500) and two boys scholarships (one for $1000 and one for $500) to high school seniors who will be attending college in the fall. Selection criteria will be based on tennis, community service, character, leadership and academics.

Mary Tutle Scholarship

Mary Tutle was a vibrant business leader who loved life. She believed in the value of building relationships, networking, and living Ut Prosim (VT’s motto - That I May Serve) in business and all aspects of her life. To keep her memory alive, John P. Tutle, has established an annual scholarship of $1000 to be given to a student graduating from a Montgomery County, Virginia high school who has been accepted to the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. Funds will be sent to Virginia Tech for application to the student’s account.

2023 Scholarships Available from Luther Memorial

 Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, through the generosity of its parishioners, is offering several scholarships in 2023 to area high school and college students: The Luther Memorial Education Endowment Lutheran Student Scholarship and the Luther Memorial Education Endowment BIPOC Student Scholarship both have a May 1st deadline.

Luther Memorial Education Endowment Scholarship

Luther Memorial Lutheran Church awards a scholarship to a qualified high school graduate who is a member of a Lutheran congregation or participates in The Well Campus Ministry. Applicants should provide personal data and requested information by completing this sheet; supporting documents may be attached (do not attach originals)All applications for the 2024-2025 academic year must be submitted on or before May 1, 2024. A Review Committee determines eligibility and will select an applicant to receive the $500 scholarship no later than June 1, 2024. The Luther Memorial Pastor will notify the recipient.

Luther Memorial Education Endowment BIPOC Scholarship Application 2024

Luther Memorial Lutheran Church awards a scholarship to a qualified high school graduate who identifies as a BIPOC individual (Black, Indigenous Person of Color). This student may be a member of a Lutheran congregation, a participant in The Well Campus Ministry, or may come from the community at-large. Applicants should provide personal data and requested information by completing this sheet; supporting documents may be attached (do not attach originals). All applications for the 2024-2025 academic year must be submitted on or before May 1, 2024. A Review Committee determines eligibility and will select an applicant to receive the $500 scholarship no later than June 1, 2024. The Luther Memorial Pastor will notify the recipient.
