The clarinet is a very versatile instrument. Clarinet students at McKinnon start by playing in Year 7 Band and have many playing opportunities as they progress through the program. After gaining some experience with the standard (B flat) clarinet, some students branch out and try the bass clarinet or even the saxophone as well; many of the skills are transeferable. Clarinet players make up one of the largest sections within the concert band.
