There are three McKinnon Choirs: Junior Singers, East Choir, and McKinnon Choir.
Junior Singers is a foundational vocal ensemble for Year 7 students. Students can expect a welcoming environment which focuses on having fun while fostering the development of musical and ensemble skills. Everyone is invited to join, no matter your prior musical experience!
East Choir is open to all students at East Campus. Rehearsals and outcomes are more structured than in Junior Singers to reflect increased expectations of intermediate students. Students will continue to develop their ensemble skills and musical expression as they tackle a more diverse range of repertoire.
McKinnon Choir is open to all senior (Year 10-12) students at McKinnon Road Campus. McKinnon Choir participants continue to develop their ensemble skills, musicality, and understanding of music to a more advanced level. This includes learning longer and more complex musical selections, encouraging students to grow their independence within the ensemble.
