Here's what the bassoon sounds like:
The bassoon is one of the double reed instruments of the woodwind family. It has a distinctive sound and many unique qualities. It is used to express a wide range of moods in band and orchestral music, as well as in film scores. It also features in chamber (small group) music. Although it is quite long when assembled, it comes apart to fit in a relatively compact carry case.
