Internships
Are you interested in earning high school credit through a local internship! See below for more information:
Are you interested in completing an internship for high school credit? If so, see below for some basic points about our internship program!
In order for us to document and keep track of how you are performing as an intern, there are some required forms to complete before, during, and after your internship. This includes pre-internship reflections, weekly reflections, and a post-internship reflection. Your supervisor will also complete a survey as well with comments about your performance and growth.
There is also a log sheet for you to keep track of your hours. You need to complete 150 hours for one credit, 75 hours for a half credit. These can be completed in the Spring, Summer, or Fall semesters.
All of this is meant for you to reflect more on what your goals are for this internship, what you have accomplished during this internship, and what this internship has taught you moving forward.
If you have a specific business, school, or organization in mind, please see me if you are interested in setting up an internship through the school. Or, if you still need help finding an internship opportunity within a particular field of interest, set up a meeting with me, and we will search for a few possibilities.
Let me know if you have any questions and would like to learn more! The hope is that this internship program helps you gain some hands-on experience, skills, and habits needed to succeed in life after high school!
