See below for a step-by-step College Application Guide:

Please use Common App as your first option, then for any schools that are not available through Common App, please use CFNC or the college's website.

Seniors: College Application Guide

Where to Apply? I strongly recommend applying to as many colleges on your list as you can through Common Application OR the CFNC Application Hub FIRST! If need be after that, you can apply directly through the colleges' websites if they are not available on CommonApp or CFNC.

TRY to Apply Early Action! Applying EA is non-binding unlike Early Decision, but it still allows for an earlier acceptance notification and any perks that go along with that such as financial aid, housing, etc.

Step-by-Step College App Guide: It should give you a clear idea of what is ahead of you such as:

  • our school's CEEB number (342779)

  • applying on Common App or CFNC Application Hub (extremely convenient for doing multiple applications at once)

  • how to request a recommendation letter (PLEASE ask your teachers in-person or remotely BEFORE they receive an automated recommendation request)

  • how to request a transcript (please provide me with the most specific information that you can for that college)

  • essay tips

  • Financial Aid & Scholarship Info: Fastweb.com or CFNC Scholarship Search are great resources for signing up and receiving scholarships that you might qualify for.

  • and more!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have about this guide or your college applications in general! I am happy to sit down or Zoom with any of you and your families to assist with this process in any way.
