Hi! My name is Katelyn Dodge. I have been one of the School Counselors at MHS since 2011. I live in Yorktown but have really enjoyed working in Mathews. I grew up in northern Pennsylvania in a small town, so Mathews makes me feel right at home. Coming from the mountains, I love the better weather and spending time on the beach. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania and my Masters Degree in School Counseling at Old Dominion University. After graduating I was a substitute teacher for a year and then became a member of the Mathews High School family. MHS is my first job and my first experience as a School Counselor, and it has been a great experience. I truly enjoy the students and everyone I have gotten to know. 

Hi!! My name is Shannon Duff. I've been a School Counselor at MHS for eight years. I was a Middle School Counselor for two years and I taught elementary school for thirteen years.. I am originally from Roanoke, VA. I lived in Northern Virginia for eight years then moved to Gloucester in 2004 and I have been in this area every since. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science from Radford University. I started my Masters in School Counseling at George Mason University and finished at Capella University.. I love living close to the water. My family and I spend a lot of our summers on the water or in NagsHead, NC. I live with my partner, Keith, two daughters, a bonus daughter, three dogs and two guinea pigs. I also Coach and participate in Crossfit workouts in the evenings. I have taught in both big and small school divisions and I have always loved the small community  and school division in Mathews County. I continue to keep in touch with families and former students and I love that.
