Students in 7th grade are reading I am Malala and have created acrostic poems to go along with the book.
School filled with love and peace
Candy falling from the sky
Home filled with worry
Odd days everyday
Observing what is happening to my world
Love powerful then hate and terrorism
Girls wishing to learn
I will make a change
Ready fro anything that comes my way
Looking for a way to stop everyone going on
Saving the town and village
Don't know when everything will end
I will pray and hope for peace
Age does not matter when speaking up
Reality is worse than we think
Young girls sad and hoping for peace.
by Dannie
School was important to Malala's education.
Could see that Malala's mom was worried.
House was often full of relatives.
Otherwise, you know what we can do.
Overpowered by Taliban.
Life if Malala could not go to school.
Gul Makai was Malala's fake name.
In her next entry, she wrote about how school was the center of her life.
Read a diary in the newspaper.
Last one, it was decided that wearing uniforms was dangerous.
Swat was being attacked.
Did Malala know what she was doing?
I quickened my pace until I was far ahead of him.
Are real things to be afraid of.
Realized that the fathers and brothers and uncles who made friends stay home.
Yet Malala knew as angry as she was, she wouldn't reveal her secret.

Scared but to determined to falter
Cagey , otherwise there will be no Malala.
Hopeful for better future , where's the light ?
Oh why ? Why the little girls school ?
Our mountains our trees , our flowers everything in our valley is peace.
Learning is all i ever wanted. Boys and girls should have that chance.
If we are humans , WE.ARE.EQUAL.
Rights ? Ha ! What are these ?
Lethal deaths . Just a new normal .
Say that again ? The bombs are to loud !
Don't worry if you support the talbin .
If not , Please , Stay safe . Please ... free us.
And if not , Read. Fight. Learn. Understand. Except.
Read my story. My life. My diary.
You'll be shocked , but want to help. Please ?

School is very imporant to me.
Cannot believe I have to stop going to school after January 15th.
Have to keep fighting for my education.
Ongoing war has been present in my town.
On top of that, some school have been bombed.
Letting the Taliban win is the worst thing I can do.
Going to school is a privilege these days.
I must stay strong!
Really need to find a way to promote peace.
Like Malala, I think that women deserve edueation too.
Safefy is the most important thing right now.
Don't need to be scared, when I have my family with me.
I will keep going to school far as long as I can.
At the end of the day, I'm stil a child, so my actions alone won't fix this problem.
Running out of time to step the taliban.
Year after year, my town beomes more dangerous.

Dreams of death
Ready to risk my life
Everybody's worried for me
Attentive to my father
My nightmares are getting stronger
Still, I won't give up.
by Ally, Jazmen, Major
Dare to do what others won't
Ready to face danger
Everything will change one day.
Always passionate about what is right.
Money for those in need
Safe for now.
by Cecelia, Dannie, Tevin
Danger lurks around every corner,
Ready to fight for what I believe.
Endless fear haunts my mind,
A nightmare or two every night.
My parents worry for me, but I shall go on.
Still I shall fight for what I believe.
by Zoe and J. J.
Sometimes I don't know what to do
Can't go to school
Heart yearns for education
Oh, it's not fair.
Oh, why do the Taliban do this?
Learning isn't harmful.
Girls have rights,
I want mine.
Right here I make a pledge.
Let us learn.
So dull would life be
Doesn't anyone else feel the same?
I won't stand for injustice.
Anyone who does is a terrible person.
Right now is the time to fight.
Your rights are as good and bad as mine.
