What is the MC2 Program?
The MC2 Program is a Dual Enrollment program between MaST Community Charter Schools and Community College of Philadelphia. Students take high school classes and college courses during their 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. Students obtain an Associates Degree in Business or Health Care Studies in their senior year of high school.
When can I apply for the MC2 Program?
Students apply for the program in 9th grade.
How do I apply for the MC2 Program?
MaST conducts an application session for interested students in November.
What is the program criteria?
The Program Criteria is:
Students must place in college level English and Math on the CCP Placement Test
Students must not have any attendance or tardy issues in Semester 1 of 9th grade
Students must not have any negative disciplinary actions or write ups
Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 at MaST or 85 or above in all 1st semester 9th grade classes
Students must have scored Proficient or Advanced on the 8th grade ELA and Math PSSA or relevant benchmark
Students will perform Service Learning Hours at MaST during college semester breaks
Students are required to attend all Cohort meetings and read all email correspondence
Eligibility subject to Principal/Counselor review of applicants
How many college classes will I be taking each semester?
The number of college classes taken each Fall and Spring semester varies from 2, 3, or 4 classes per semester.
How many high school classes will I be taking each semester?
The number of high school classes taken each quarter varies from 2 or 3 classes.
When do I start the program?
Students begin the program in September of 10th grade - Fall Semester.
Will my college credits transfer?
Transferring of credits is determined by the college/university and the program.
What is a FERPA form?
A FERPA form is a part of the CCP Application Process. It provides CCP with the names of who you give permission to access your college records. This form must be signed by the student, parent, and High School Principal. CCP sends an email directly to the student with a link for the FERPA Form shortly after the Admission Application is completed. The FERPA goes through the Doc u Sign process for completion.

Will the cost remain the same throughout the three year program?
The cost depends on the current CCP Tuition rate. MaST can not predict if CCP will raise the tuition cost during the program. The cost will reflect any CCP tuition increases.
How do I pay for the program?
A Payment Letter is sent to all families for each semester. The fall semester payment is due in August, and the Spring semester payment is due in January. Payments are made to the MaST School you attend. You can pay online, mail or drop off a check to the school front office.
What if I want to leave the program?
Students may leave the program and return to all high school classes.
Can I get a refund?
Program fees are non-refundable. Parents/Guardians may choose to not enroll students in the following semester.
Are there accommodations for Special Education students?
Yes, CCP’s Center on Disability evaluates students and provides accommodations for testing and classes if eligible under Higher Education document guidelines.
How do I go about getting accommodations at CCP?
Students should contact CCP’s Center on Disability directly for guidance/appointment by emailing COD@ccp.edu. and clearly state the accommodations they are requesting. Someone from the Center on Disability will contact the student with directions for the evaluation process. When will I be taking the CCP's Placement Test?
The 9th grade students usually take the CCP Placement Test in February of 9th grade.
Where will I be taking the CCP’s Placement Test?
Students will take the CCP Placement Test at CCP’s Northeast Campus.
Is there a charge for CCP’s application and Placement Test?
There is no charge for the CCP application or Placement Test.
How do I know if I meet the program requirements?
You will meet with a MaST Administrator to receive your test results and eligibility.
Can I take college classes if I do not meet the MC2 Program requirements?
You can take college courses on your own time just not during high school hours.
Can I apply for Financial aid?
Dual Enrollment students are not eligible for financial aid.
Does this affect my Financial Aid to a four year university?
It does not affect your financial aid since you will not apply until you attend a four year college/university.
Are the classes for MaST students only?
No. MaST students will be taking classes with other CCP students.
Where are my college classes held?
You will be taking a combination of in-person and online classes. The in-person classes are held at CCP Northeast Campus.
How do I get registered for classes?
A MaST Administrator coordinates your curriculum and classes with CCP.
