Living in the Residence Halls

The residence halls are complex operations with many different spaces and processes than what you may be used to at your home. Please take time to read through the following pages so you can be set up for successful living within the residence hall spaces.

The Amenities page details information about the heat and air conditioning, laundry, mail, trash and recycling, and more. You can learn about the various common spaces throughout the building, window and door policies, as well as personal and college furniture on the Spaces & Furnishings page.

Do you want to have a guest come visit? Be sure to review the Guest Policy to learn more about your responsibilities as a host and what you need to do to sign someone in.

Living in a community means that sometimes things happen. Be sure to review the Damage Policy to best understand your individual responsibilities and how the community is responsible as a whole.

Living in the Residence Halls requires that you sign a License Agreement (essentially a contract) which outlines the requirements, limitations, and legal expectations while you're in residence. The Agreement also specifically notes the times when College staff or representatives may enter your room without prior notice.
