Student has read and understands all information outlined in the Credit Flexibility Handbook, including the Credit Flex Guidelines.
Ensure that your Credit Flex Plan aligns with your 4 year high school plan. If unsure, communicate with your school counselor.
Complete and submit the Credit Flexibility application in collaboration with your parent/guardian. Questions specific to your application should be directed to your assigned school counselor.
An incomplete application will delay the review of your application and may result in denial of your application.
Student and your parent will electronically sign your application to indicate you understand and agree to ALL Credit Flex guidelines.
Student will receive email communication with approval/non-approval of your plan within 10 school days of submission of your application.
If your plan is not approved, make revisions to your Credit Flex Application and re-submit as directed.
If approved, begin work on your course.
For Mastery Assessment, communicate with the Credit Flex administrator, Mr. Powell, regarding testing dates and timelines.
For Online Courses, work independently and make sure a final transcript is received by MHS.
Take any End-of-Course state assessments applicable to your course as scheduled by MHS within the state testing window (you will be notified of your testing date and time).
**If this course is a prerequisite to another course for original credit, you MUST complete the Credit Flex course PRIOR to being scheduled into the next course in the sequence.
Example: Biology is a prerequisite to Chemistry. If you submit a Credit Flex Plan for Biology and it is approved, one full credit of Biology MUST be completed and the grade received prior to the student being scheduled into Chemistry.
