Monday, February 3rd: Mrs. Hartman is absent today. Students will work on 2 edpuzzles and with remaining time they may complete the review blooket. All of these assignments are posted to google classroom.
Tuesday, February 4th: Students were introduced to their cornerstone project that carries over into ELA class. Students will begin researching this on Wednesday. Students were also given time to work on their study guides for their performance task. This performance task will take place after the joint cornerstone project is complete.

Wednesday, February 5th:
Students will explore different countries to prepare them for an upcoming Zombie Apocalypse cornerstone for this class and for ELA. Geography games and an exploration google doc has been posted to google classroom. Students will complete a form in ELA class to list their top 3 choices before they are assigned a country. They may also work on taking their study guide notes for our end of unit performance task which will occur after this joint cornerstone. Study guide notes have been posted to google classroom for students to copy into their packets. If students do not have Mrs. Mast for ELA, they may choose whichever country they wish to research for the cornerstone assignment.
Thursday, February 6th
Students can continue to play geography games, or work on their study guide. If they have already been assigned a country by Mrs. Mast (for their joint cornerstone) they can begin working on the research packet starting with pages 4-6 of the packet. Once finished, they will need a teacher checkpoint signature. They can get this from Mrs. Mast or from the substitute. They should continue working through the packet. Any student who does not have Mrs. Mast, should research The United States of America or any other country of their choosing. Any student who needs a packet can run down to Mrs. Mast’s room to grab one.
Friday, February 7th
Students will work on researching their assigned country. They should be working on pages 4-6 (all) and either page 7 (security concerns) or page 8 (Humanitarian concerns) of the packet. Once finished, they will need a teacher checkpoint signature. They can get this from Mrs. Mast or from the substitute. They should continue working through the packet. Any student who does not have Mrs. Mast for ELA should be researching for The United States of America or any other country of their choosing.

Students will work on researching their assigned country.They should be completing pages 9-11. Teacher checkpoint signatures can be given by you or Mrs. Mast.
Tuesday, February 11th:
Students should continue working on researching their assigned country. If finished, they may continue working on their study guide in their “Unit 3 Scientific/Enlightenment packet.” Notes have been posted to google classroom under Unit 3.
Wednesday, February 12th:
Students will continue working on their study guide in their “Unit 3 Scientific/Enlightenment packet.” Notes have been posted to google classroom under Unit 3. If they are finished, they may play the review games that have been posted under Unit 3.
Thursday, February 13th: Review Nearpod
On Tuesday 2/18 we will be taking an error analysis performance task on the Post Medieval Europe unit. The people/places/terms from your study guide will all be found in an article that students you will read. There will be 5 FACTUAL (not spelling/grammar) errors in the article that you need to identify and correct. Be familiar with the notes on your study guide! Today, students will complete the review nearpod that is posted to google classroom (graded for participation). If time remains, students should make sure their study guides are completed, may play the review blooket, and quizlet games.
Tuesday, February 18th: Error Analysis Activity
Students will complete an error analysis activity in class. Students may use their study guide packets and Mrs. Hartman's audio recordings of the articles.
Wednesday, February 19th: Introduction to Unit #4 "Global Colonialism and Exploration"
Students will complete a nearpod that is posted to google classroom. They will need to complete all activities in the nearpod and follow along with Mrs. Hartman's videos in the nearpod that instruct students to take notes in their new packets. All work is posted to google classroom.
