K-4 Math and Literacy PLC Lead
MCSD PLC Lead Positions:
We will hire PLC Leads to support our PLC teams. The positions are subject to change in response to the needs of our teacher teams.
PLC Lead Position, Application, and Hiring Details:
PLC Leads will receive a stipend of $600 per content area pending paid attendance at the summer PLC Institute (unless already completed) as well as the planning, facilitating, and follow-up for thirty ongoing, regular PLC meetings during the school year. There will be required meetings held for one hour from 4-5 p.m. at a date determined by the principal and that building's PLC Lead team.
Extra time for a teacher serving as EITHER K-4 Math OR Literacy PLC Lead:
4 hours - One 1-hour meeting for 4 months total from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
7.5 hours - prep time on own to prepare for 15 small group PLC meetings (1.5 hours per month to prep/lead 3-4 monthly PLC meetings held on contract hours from 8-4 p.m.)
2 hours- Each PLC Lead will have a checklist of items to do to prepare for PLCs launching at each site the first week of school.
Two 30 minute check-ins with a CPDL that can be done before school, after school, or on your prep time
PLC meetings will be scheduled on a bi-weekly basis for building-based PLCs.
Extra time for teachers serving as BOTH a K-4 Literacy AND Math PLC Lead:
4 hours - One 1-hour meeting per month for 4 months total from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
4 hours - Asynchronous learning around PLC topics of your choice
15 hours - prep time on own to prepare for 30 small group PLC meetings (1.5 hours per month to prep/lead 3-4 monthly PLC meetings held on contract hours from 8-4 p.m.)
4 hours- Each PLC Lead will have a checklist of items to do to prepare for PLCs launching at each site the first week of school.
Four 30 minute check-ins with a CPDL (one per quarter) that can be done before school, after school, or on your prep time
PLC meetings will be scheduled on a weekly basis (every other week for literacy and math) for building-based PLCs.

These positions are 1-year positions and there is no guarantee from year-to-year of continued compensation or employment.
Hiring Process
Each candidate’s application will be evaluated and scored by the SBRC using a rubric. In addition, the administrator at each applicant’s respective site will be contacted regarding the candidate's skills in four specific domains–classroom management, content, instructional strategies, and assessment.
