Instructional Coach Position, Application, and Hiring Details:
Teachers hired for the IC positions begin July 1. The exact 10 days outside of contract days will be shared in June. Teachers designated as ICs will receive the stipend of $5,000 and be expected to work an additional 10 days for the school year.
Applicants for the IC positions must submit an online application (see link below).
After reviewing the questions on the application, we encourage you to type your responses into a Google Doc first in order to take advantage of the ability to save your work, to use spell check, and to access other editing features. Conduct a word count before copying and pasting, as the Site Based Review Council (SBRC) requests a maximum word count of 300 for each response.
No letters of recommendation will be required at this time.
Applicants also must submit a cover letter and résumé with the application.
In addition, the candidate may be selected for an interview by district and/or building administration. An online screener, a phone interview, and a "face-to-face" interview may be held.
These positions are 1-year positions and there is no guarantee from year-to-year of continued compensation or employment.
Hiring Process
Each candidate’s application and résumé will be evaluated and scored by the SBRC using a rubric. In addition, the administrator at each applicant’s respective site will be contacted regarding each candidate's skills in four specific domains–classroom management, content, instructional strategies, and assessment.
By applying for the IC position, you are agreeing to work an additional 10 days to work with mentors, PLC Leads, other ICs, Curriculum/Professional Development Leaders, and Administrators on improving teaching and learning.
