Funding Schedule and Awarding Steps

Funding Schedule:

• It is understood that funding to the recipients will be paid at three (3) time points per the payment schedule and that funding shall be provided in the following increments:

  1. First Payment: $3,000 - executed and signed contract, completion of CITI Training (by October 31, 2025)

  2. Second Payment: $1,000 - submission of mid-progress report and fiscal report (by March 13, 2026)

  3. Third Payment: $1,000 - submission of final report and fiscal report (by May 8, 2026)

• If the recipients' projects include funding student experiential stipends, payment for stipends will be scheduled monthly.

• The review committee may make exceptions to the funding schedule for special circumstances.

Awarding Steps:

1. September 19 - October 9, 2025: Application period duration

   • Applications will be submitted through Google forms.

2. October 15 - 20, 2025: Review panel scores applications using scoring rubric.

3. October 21 - 23, 2025: Recipients are notified and sign Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs).

4. October 24 - 31, 2025: Recipients complete CITI training.

5. November 3, 2025: First payment of $3,000 released upon proof of CITI training completion & commencement of research project

   • If student stipends are part of the budget, payments will be released monthly upon the submission of a Student Documentation Timesheet.

6. March 13, 2026: Recipients submit mid-progress report and expense report & submit their abstracts to present at the NMC Research Symposium.

   • Upon review of reports, a payment of $1,000 will be released.

   • If student stipends are part of the budget, payments will be released monthly upon the submission of a Student Documentation Timesheet.

7. May 8, 2026: Recipients submit final report and expense report & submit their research projects to present at the EPIIC Innovation Capacity Professional Development (ICPD)

   • Upon review of reports, a second payment of $1,000 will be released.

   • If student stipends are part of the budget, payments will be released monthly upon the submission of a Student Documentation Timesheet.
