EPIIC, which stands for "Enabling Partnerships to Increase Innovation Capacity," is a new program under NMC CREES. Funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) EPIIC Grant no. 233294, NMC partners with Hawai'i Community College (HawCC) and College of Southern Nevada (CSN) to increase research and innovation capacities in their respective institutions while supporting the others in their endeavors.
EPIIC strives to increase the College's research capacity and expand its partnerships. This coincides with the College's Strategic Master Plan, specifically Action Step 6.3.3., which is the following:
"Expand the institution’s research capacity in order to guide and collaborate with government agencies and nonprofit entities in combating social, economic, and environmental problems at the local, regional, national, or international level.”
