Enabling Partnerships to Increase Innovation Capacity (EPIIC) is a program created by the National Science Foundation (NSF) with the mission to catalyze U.S. scientific and technological innovation and research by expanding partnerships among universities and colleges to increase participation in the U.S. research and innovation landscape.
Cultivating Innovation and Research Capacity for Life Sustaining Emerging Technologies (CIRCLET)
CIRCLET is a collaborative project between the Northern Marianas College (NMC), Hawai'i Community College (HawCC), and College of Southern Nevada (CSN). What merged these institutions into a team is the shared experience of informal partnerships that diluted due to factors like lack of proper communication lines or inactivity.
To combat this, the collaborating institutions are actively developing sustainable partnerships by creating opportunities in the fields of AgTech, Agroforestry, and Environmental Science. Through regular meetings, setting of short-term and long-term goals, and implementing direct participation of partners in each institutions' activities, the tripart team hopes to produce a more skilled workforce and healthier economy in each of their regions.
