Central idea: Children encounter a range of risks, challenges and opportunities.
Over the last few weeks, we have been further developing our understanding of the challenges which are faced by children. Within this, we have seen how these challenges can vary in extremity between first and third world countries, whilst still appreciating that children can be struggling with their rights in our locality. To show our understanding, we created board games to show how a child's life can be filled with risks, challenges and opportunities.
This week, we have started our action inspired by our learning. Having looked at Dr Barnardo and Eglantyne Jebb (two child rights pioneers), we want to make a difference and have undertaken a project to hopefully raise funds for the two charities inspired by these individuals - stay tuned for more information, but do also please ask us!
