Year 3   Learning Update

Central idea: People can go on vacation to eplore different communities.

It's been such a busy week in Year 3!  Children have been studying the book 'This is How We Do It' which looks at the lives of 7 children from different countries around the world.  This has inspired our writing and we have had fun creating drama sketches to tell Daphine's story from Uganda, which we have also begun to now write as a recount.  For inquiry, children enjoyed tasting a variety of foods from around the world - with very mixed reactions! 

In maths, we have been learning about Roman numerals to 12 and to tell the time to the nearest 5 minutes.  Please practise telling the time at home as much as you can; next week we will start looking at time durations.
