Central idea: A healthy lifestyle can be impacted by external influences.
Over the last two weeks, we have begun our journey into exploring our central idea. To start with, we looked at what physical and mental health are, and how these link to our healthy lifestyles. Using Edvard Munch as our focus artist, we've then explored how colour can be used to show mood and feeling! Building on this, we have created our own portraits with coloured backgrounds (in the style of Munch) to celebrate our mental health.
In maths, we have been building up our place value knowledge (including comparing and ordering numbers) and have explored Roman numerals.
Year 4 have just started their ukulele lessons and will be bringing their instruments home. Please ensure they are returned to school every Thursday. The children have already learned a fun song to help them remember the different parts of the ukulele.
