SKYVIEW has produced some fine athletes in its history and many of those athletes were multi-sport athletes that also did Track. Mikylah participated in Track and Field her Junior and Senior year. She played a key role in us winning our very first Girls League Championship in 2021. She was on both of the 4x100 relay teams that broke the school record in 2022.

Mikylah was a big part of the Skyview Girls Basketball success as well. She holds multiple records and was selected 2nd Team All-State as a Senior. Mikylah was voted the winner of the Athletic Director Female Athlete Award her Senior year (2022), which is the second highest athletic honor given by Skyview Athletics.

She currently plays basketball at Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Alexa participated in Track and Field her sophomore year (cancelled due to Covid) and Senior year. In that one year, she exceled and accomplished at the highest level. Jennifer was a State Qualifier, along with Bahati in 2021 in the Shot Put and finished 14th in the State of Colorado.

Bahati was a cornerstone in the success of the volleyball program and a huge part of their 1st League Championship in school history.

Bahati currently plays Volleyball, Basketball and runs Track and Field at Graceland University in Iowa while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

Noah was also a key part of the Skyview Boys Soccer success in his time at Skyview. He and his class were instrumental in building and paving the way for the 2019 State Championship.

Bryan participated in Track and Field his Junior and Senior year. He was part of the 2nd (2018) and 3rd (2019) Boys League Championships. He specialized in the 100, 200 and 400 meter and was a League Champion in the 4x400 (2018) and the 4x200, 4x400 (2019). In a thrilling race for 1st he took 2nd in the 400 League Championship being edged only by .01 seconds.

Like Noah, Bryan was also a key part of the Skyview Boys Soccer success in his time at Skyview. He and his class were instrumental in building and paving the way for the 2019 State Championship. Bryan was more than an athlete, he was a phenomenal student. Bryan was GLA's Valedictorian in 2019.

Deyvon participated in Track and Field from 2015-2018. Deyvon was a gigantic part of the Boys Track and Field Team winning their very 1st League Championship in school history in 2017. Deyvon was a multi-event league champion in his high school career and a State Qualifier in 2018 in the 4x200 and 4x400.

Deyvon also played football and basketball. "D" is the leading rusher in Skyview school history and led the 2018 team to a 9-1 regular season record; the best record in school history. Deyvon helped his team to be State Qualifiers in 2017 and 2018.

Alex participated in Track and Field from 2017-2018. Alex joined Skyview her Junior year and quickly made her mark on the program. She was a multi-event league champion in her high school career. Alex's father Derek McCoy also did Track and Field at Skyview, making her one of the few Father-Daughter combinations for Skyview Track and Field.

Gary Stecklein participated in Track and Field from 2006-2007. Stecklein was a two time All-Conference athlete in the 4x400. He and with his team held the 4x400 school record until it was broken in 2018 by Mike Vigil, Deyvon Butler, Timothy Woods and Rito Casas at the State Championship meet, whom he coached.
OTHER SKYVIEW SPORTS
Stecklein also played Football, Baseball and Wrestled. He lettered in baseball, wrestling and track. He was selected All-State in football, was a Wendy's Highschool Heisman, Golden Helmet, and Fred Steinmark Award nominee. He was awarded the Daniels Fund Scholarship in 2007.

Stecklein was on the CSU practice squad one season under the legendary Sonny Lubick and one season under Steve Fairchild.

Derek McCoy participated in Track and Field from 1995-1999. He was a two-time letterman primarily focusing on the 100, Long and Triple Jump. As a Senior he finished 6th at the State Championship in the long jump.
OTHER SKYVIEW SPORTS
McCoy also played football and basketball. He was an All-Conference athlete in all three of the sports that he played, 1st Team All-Conference x3 in basketball, Honorable Mention All-State x2 in basketball, Honorable Mention All-State in football and was selected as the Skyline League Male Athlete of the Year in 1999.
COLLEGE PARTICIPATION
McCoy played football at the University of Colorado as a WR and was part of the great team that defeated #1 Nebraska at Folsom Field in 2001 and played in the Fiesta Bowl. McCoy would go on to the NFL and played for several teams.
