Mental Health Consultant
HRDC Accredited Trainer (Trainer ID: 12358)
Hello, I’m Susan, and I’m excited to accompany you on your self-care journey!
Art-making has always been a personal passion of mine, and today it serves as a central element of my work as a Mental Health Consultant. I am deeply committed to helping others use creative tools to heal, grow, and express themselves in a safe and supportive environment.
Background
Originally from Tawau and raised in the vibrant city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, I now call Kuala Lumpur home. My professional journey began in 2004 in marketing, where I gained experience across a variety of industries, including finance, automotive, and event management. In 2019, I transitioned into training and became an in-house trainer, which allowed me to share my knowledge and passion with others. Over time, my growing interest in psychology led me to pursue a part-time degree in Psychology at OUM and Master of Counselling at IMU University.
Accreditation
In 2024, I have completed the Master of Counselling program with specializations in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Expressive Arts Therapy (EXAT), and mindfulness practices. I believe in the transformative power of art in the healing process, and I integrate it into my work, whether it’s through individual or group counselling, career exploration, or expressive arts therapy.
In addition, I have learned to facilitate Points of You phototherapy and am trained in Brainspotting therapy, along with being an HRD Corp Accredited Trainer. With these diverse skills, I am equipped to support individuals on their therapeutic journeys in a way that is compassionate, holistic, and empowering.
Language
Fluent in Mandarin, English, Cantonese, and Hakka, I offer flexible support in whichever language resonates most with you. Art itself can also become a powerful form of expression if words are difficult to find.
