The National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) recently organized an educational trip for diploma trainees to Manovikas, a renowned institution dedicated to the well-being of individuals with disabilities. The visit provided a unique opportunity for the trainees to interact with the students at Manovikas, fostering an atmosphere of learning and mutual understanding.

The trainees engaged in various activities, exchanging knowledge and experiences with the students. This interaction not only enriched the trainees' educational journey but also brought immense joy to the Manovikas students, who were delighted to meet new friends and share their daily routines. In these day's resource room session, our diploma trainees led a dynamic and engaging class with our students. The trainees began by welcoming everyone warmly, creating a comfortable and inclusive atmosphere. They then posed a crucial question to the students: "What would you like to read today?" This open-ended question sparked excitement and curiosity among the students.

The trainees carefully listened to each student's preferences, noting their interests in various subjects such as adventure stories, science fiction, historical events, and even poetry. This approach not only empowered the students by giving them a voice in their learning process but also allowed the trainees to tailor the session to meet diverse interests and needs.

As the class progressed, the trainees encouraged discussion and critical thinking, fostering a love for reading and learning. By the end of the session, students felt valued and motivated, looking forward to more personalized and interactive learning experiences in the future.
